Guide to Managing and Setting Up Locations in Cally

Cally supports three distinct types of locations:

  1. Online Locations

  2. Physical Locations

    • Designed for in-person services. If you operate multiple branches or service centers, this type allows customers to choose the most convenient location for their visit.
  3. Delivery Locations

    • Created for services performed at the customer’s location. This is particularly useful for home services such as cleaning or plumbing, where customers can provide their address for the appointment.

Setting Up Locations

To effectively manage locations within Cally, follow these steps:

1. Create a Location

  • Access the Locations Feature: Log in to your Cally admin panel and navigate to the Locations section.
  • Add a New Location: Click on the "Add Location" button.
  • Select Location Type: Choose from Online, Physical, or Delivery based on the service you provide.
  • Fill in Details: Enter the location name, description and address or link (if applicable).

2. Assign a Schedule

Just like services and staff members, each location must have an assigned schedule specifying its availability.

  • Set Availability: For instance, if your physical branch operates from 9 AM to 6 PM daily, create and assign a recurring schedule to reflect these hours.
  • Intersection of Schedules: The availability of a product or service will be determined by the intersection of its own schedule, the location's schedule, and the schedules of assigned staff members.

3. Assign Products/Services to Locations

Each product or service must be assigned to at least one location. This step is crucial for informing customers where the service is conducted.

  • Select Services: Go to the Services section in your Cally admin panel.
  • Assign Locations: For each product or service, assign the appropriate location(s) where it can be provided.

4. Assign Staff Members to Locations

If your services are conducted by staff members, ensure that each staff member is assigned to the same location where they will be providing services.

  • Navigate to Staff Members: Go to the Staff section in your Cally admin panel.
  • Assign Locations: For each staff member, select the locations where they will be available to serve customers.
